Another Dip
Not a single Western country has so far ordered the expulsion of Israeli diplomats in protest over the mass killings of Palestinian civilians by Israeli Defence Force snipers. A crime against humanity under international law is casually dismissed.
Western Civilization has taken another happy dip. Happy because the previous dips were treated less jubilantly than this latest one. While Israelis were unleashing shots from powerful American guns into the crowds of unarmed civilians who were protesting within their own borders in Gaza, celebrations were taking place in Jerusalem.
Soldiers of Yahweh, the God of Israel, perched on top of steel towers within Israel, beyond the reach of stray stones hurled at them from the Gaza boundaries, were firing at the protesters, as if they were aiming at ducks. (If it were ducks, instead of humans, a billion Europeans and Americans would create such a hellish outrage that it would have brought down the Israeli government. But hypocrisy [about human rights and all that bluff] is seven seas wide).
Unarmed civilian Palestinian men, women and children were falling in dozens, for New York Times to courageously acknowledge that “the Palestinian extremism has corrupted them,” accepting by implication what Israeli government stated, “Palestinian are responsible for their deaths.” David Brooks wrote in New York Times:
“I see the situation through the ‘extremism corrupts everybody’ narrative. My narrative starts with the idea that the creation of the state of Israel was a historic achievement involving a historic wrong — the displacement of 700,000 Palestinians.” [The Gaza Violence: How Extremism Corrupts, May 17, 2018]
“It is customary to adopt,” wrote Shmuel Rosner (Jewish by name),
“…an apologetic tone when scores of people have been killed, as they were this week in Gaza. But I will avoid this sanctimonious instinct and declare coldly: Israel had a clear objective when it was shooting, sometimes to kill, well-organized ‘demonstrators’ near the border. Israel was determined to prevent these people — some of whom are believed to have been armed, most apparently encouraged by their radical government — from crossing the fence separating Israel from Gaza. That objective was achieved.” (New York Times, May 18, 2018)
While the cold-blooded massacre was going on, Jewish and American Christians were celebrating America’s shifting of its Embassy from the Tel Aviv of the Occupied Territories, to the Jerusalem of the Occupied Territories.
On a split screen, the two scenes did not disturb the Western signees of several Geneva treaties as well as several United Nation’s resolutions, which do not recognize Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands, including Jerusalem.
“The international community considers the establishment of Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied territories illegal under international law, because the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 prohibits countries from moving population into territories occupied in a war.
“Israel maintains that they are consistent with international law because it does not agree that the Fourth Geneva Convention applies to the territories occupied in the 1967 Six-Day War.
“The United Nations Security Council, the United Nations General Assembly, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Court of Justice and the High Contracting Parties to the Convention have all affirmed that the Fourth Geneva Convention does apply.” (Wikipedia)
But USA (unwillingly, but doggedly followed by the rest of the West) was not finished with its dips. It announced that if North Korea did not submit to its dictates, it would decimate (murder) its leader as it had decimated Libyan leader, Qadhdhafi. That was an open admission of the crime of murder. Only hardened criminals, thugs unafraid of the Law, make such open admissions.
Earlier, USA broke its treaty with Iran unilaterally. And, yet earlier, it finished its game of dupe with the Arabs and Palestinians, by announcing that it will shift its embassy to Jerusalem, in what amounts to mute recognition of the occupied city as Israel’s new capital. Fox News personality, Jeanine Pirro, declared that Trump had “fulfilled biblical prophecy.”
It took the USA 60 years of duping efforts in the name of negotiations with the Palestinians, to achieve that goal. It was 60 years of hypocrisy and deception gradually played on the Arabs which had to end with a dip they are not ashamed of.
Shame? It’s not their in their dictionaries.
“The USA can no longer be trusted for its words” – are the words which have been used by some of the media in reaction to its recent dips. Liar, dishonest, hypocrite, and the like vocabulary, are used in describing the American actions and political moves.
When Israel had attacked Lebanon in 1980, and the Arab leaders did nothing more that issuing statements, someone wrote to a newspaper that all the Arab leaders should be lined up together and shot dead. This can be said of the American Neocon leaders now. From the highly respected pedestal of leadership of the world, to the position where an American feels compelled to hide his identity when traveling abroad, is a dip.
Is this the result of standing for a nation (Israel) whose citizens hide their identity at every checkpoint, who played the major role in the removal of ‘Religion’ as one of the columns from passports of the world?
The Israelis have (so far, during a month):
- Killed 2,037 Palestinian children
- Injured 45,019 Palestinians
- Detained 8383Pletinians
- Demolished 29145 Palestinian homes
- Forced 423 illegal Jewish-only settlements (https://me.me/i/)
And here are the ages of Palestinians children who were killed by Israeli snipers, who, according to Donald Trump had been attacking Israel. They happen to be children. An eight months old baby was targeted.
- Laila Anwar Al-Ghandoor, 8 months old
- Ezz el-din Musa Mohamed Alsamaak, 14 years old
- Wisaal Fadl Ezzat Alsheikh Khalil, 15 years old
- Ahmed Adel Musa Alshaer, 16 years old
- Saeed Mohamed Abu Alkheir, 16 years old

This dip was deeper than the previous ones. Will the Western civilization and culture go to dogs? Or, will it de-shackle itself from the dark forces creeping back from the Biblical times?
